Product details

The Nidec ASB661A is a single speed 56Y square flange pool and spa pump motor, 0.75 HP nameplate and 1.25 THP total, wired for 115V or 208-230V at 60 Hz, finished in almond.

What it replaces

It is listed as a direct replacement for the full rated and up rated energy efficient Pentair WhisperFlo pumps, specifically models 011511 WFE-2, 011512 WFE-3 and 011517 WFE-24. Because it is a square flange 56Y motor, it bolts to the WhisperFlo wet end in place of the original.

Build

The motor is switchless with ball bearings and a stainless steel shaft, rated for a 50 deg C ambient, and turns counterclockwise viewed from the pump end. It is supplied with no base, so reuse the existing mounting arrangement.

Check the frame, the flange type and the horsepower against the nameplate on the motor you are replacing, not against the pump model alone. WhisperFlo wet ends were sold behind more than one motor rating.
