The Neptune NPTQ165 is a 1.65 HP variable speed pool pump motor from US Motors, built on a 48Y square flange frame and listed for 115-230V. It is a premium efficient design that folds the motor, the control and the user interface into one package.

Why variable speed

A single speed motor runs flat out whenever it runs. A variable speed motor lets you turn the pump down for filtration and only bring it up for cleaning or heating, which is where the running cost falls away. Because the drive is integrated, there is no separate control box to mount and wire on the pad.

Programming and automation

Speeds and schedules are set on the onboard user interface. The motor is also built to communicate and operate with a variety of external system controllers, so it can be folded into a wider automation setup rather than run only on its own clock.

This is a 48Y square flange motor. Confirm the frame, the flange style and the shaft on the motor you are replacing, because a round flange or C face pump will not accept it.
