The Nidec ASB844A is a single speed square flange pool and spa pump motor rated 3 HP at 208-230V, listed at 3.45 total horsepower, and finished in almond.

What it replaces

This motor is a direct replacement for the full rated and up rated energy efficient Pentair WhisperFlo, model 011516 WFE-12. It uses the 56Y square flange pattern, is supplied switchless and without a base, and comes in the almond color Pentair used, so a swap leaves the pad looking the way it did.

Construction

It is a permanent split capacitor single phase motor with ball bearings, a stainless steel shaft and a drip proof open enclosure, rated for a 50 deg C ambient temperature. Rotation is counter clockwise viewed from the pump end.

Before you order

Check the frame, the flange and the voltage against the motor you are taking off. A square flange motor bolts to a square flange wet end, and the supply at the pad has to be 208-230V.
