Product details

Poolife Stain Lift, part number 62078, is a highly concentrated stain remover for copper, iron, manganese, cobalt and silver stains on swimming pool surfaces.

What it does

Stain Lift is used on gunite, most plaster, concrete, vinyl and fiberglass pools to remove metallic staining. This product is not intended for use on pools with black plaster.

How to use it

Brush the affected areas, then adjust pool pH between 6.8 and 7.2 and let chlorine or bromine levels drop below 2 ppm. Broadcast Stain Lift directly into the pool at 2.5 lb per 20,000 gallons of water, concentrating the application along pool walls and other stained areas, and run the circulation system continuously for 24 hours. Afterward, adjust pH back to 7.4 to 7.6 and total alkalinity to 80 to 120 ppm, and wait at least 72 hours before applying shock treatments.

Before you order

Older or deeply set stains may need a second treatment, and staining from oils, vinyl liner fungus, leaves, algae or other organic matter will not respond to this product since it is not a metal stain. Following treatment with Poolife Stain Stop is recommended to help keep stains from returning.
