The Raypak 017156F is the flow sensor kit assembly, a genuine Raypak replacement part.
What it does
The flow sensor is how a pool heater knows there is water passing through it. If that signal is missing the heater will not fire, which is by design: firing a heat exchanger with no water moving through it is how they get destroyed. A heater that reports a flow problem while the pump is clearly running is often a sensor fault rather than an actual flow fault.
