Product details

The Raypak 010091F is the refractory tile used on current Raypak heaters in the standard atmospheric versions. It is supplied as a set of 2, the front and the rear tile for the 336A.

Dimensions and shape

Each tile measures 17-7/8 in. high, 19-1/2 in. across the top, 18-3/4 in. across the bottom, and 1 in. thick. They are made in a T shape, but only slightly: the 19-1/2 in. top width extends about 2 in. down, and from there the sides come in about 3/8 in. each to the 18-3/4 in. bottom width.

Why refractory matters

Refractory lines the combustion area and holds the heat where it belongs. When it cracks or crumbles, heat reaches metal that was never meant to see it, and a cheap ceramic part becomes an expensive heater repair. Handle the tiles carefully during the swap, as refractory is brittle by nature.
