Ultima Nano-Phos is a phosphate remover supplied as tablets, five to a package. Each tablet reduces phosphate by up to 440 ppb in 10,000 gallons of pool water.
How to dose it
Backwash or clean the filter before the first treatment. With the filter running, drop the tablet directly into the skimmer basket, where it dissolves within 60 minutes. Check filter pressure once it has gone through and clean or backwash again if the pressure has risen. Retest phosphate levels after 48 to 72 hours.
Keeping levels down
After the initial correction, add one tablet each week and run the filter for at least 8 hours a day. A pool with a heavy phosphate load may need more than one tablet per dose to bring the level down and hold it there.
