Why width alone is not the whole story
A wide head only helps if the suction is even across it. The ProVac uses a suction chamber shaped to concentrate vacuum velocity equally, so the outer edges pull as well as the middle. Full width flex strips run along the head and guide debris in toward that chamber rather than letting it wash off to the sides as you move.
Tuning it to the pool
All of the wheels adjust. Raising or lowering them changes how close the head runs to the floor, and that changes the vacuum velocity through the head. A little time spent setting the wheels for the surface and the type of debris makes a noticeable difference to how much you pick up per pass.
