Product details

The Sta-Rite 18201-0300 is a six position dial type multiport valve for 2 in. plumbing, molded in fiberglass reinforced ABS and supplied with PVC unions.

The six positions

Filter for normal running, backwash to reverse flow through the media, rinse to settle the bed afterward, recirculate to move water without sending it through the filter, waste to send water straight out, and closed to shut the valve. The seal inside is built to stop water crossing between ports, so a position means what it says.

What is in the box

The valve comes with PVC unions for the filter to valve connection and the connecting pipe that matches the side ports on sand and DE filters. The unions matter on service day: the valve can be taken off without cutting into the plumbing.
