Product details

The Waterway 540-6707 is a gray pole holder for volleyball and umbrella poles, made to be set into a concrete pool deck.

How it works

The holder is a sleeve that ends up embedded in the slab, with its opening flush at deck level. Drop a volleyball net pole in for the afternoon, or an umbrella pole on a hot day, and pull it back out when you are done. Nothing has to be weighted, staked or moved out of the way afterward.

Installation note

Waterway lists this as an insert for concrete, so the straightforward version of the job is setting it during a pour. Adding one to an existing deck means coring an opening and grouting the holder in, which most owners hand to a deck contractor rather than tackle themselves.

How does it install?
It is designed to be inserted into a concrete slab, so it is set during the pour or into a core drilled and grouted opening. It is not a surface mount base.
Can it hold an umbrella as well as a volleyball pole?
Yes. It is listed for both.
Can I add one to a finished deck?
It has to end up embedded in concrete. On an existing slab that means coring an opening and grouting the holder in, which is a job worth handing to a deck contractor.
