Raypak Genuine OEM Copper Tube Bundle 336/337, 010061F

The Raypak 010061F is the genuine copper tube bundle for the Raypak 336 and 337 pool heaters, built with polymer headers. It is the heat exchanger itself, the part that transfers heat from the burner into the pool water.

What the bundle does

Pool water passes through the copper tubes while the burner fires beneath them. Copper is used because it moves heat quickly, but it is also the part of the heater most exposed to whatever is in the water. Everything else in the heater exists to support this component.

Why it gets replaced

Two things kill a tube bundle. Water chemistry that runs acidic or heavy on chlorine eats the copper from the inside, and hard water lays down scale that traps heat against the tube wall until it fails. Either way the result is the same: a leak into the combustion chamber, water in the burner tray, and a heater that will not stay lit. A bundle in that condition is replaced as a unit.
