This is the replacement barrel nut and union kit for the Solaxx E-Series salt chlorine generator, supplied with its O-rings. The part number is PZ40-UNIONSET.

Why unions fail

The cell sits in the return line inside a housing held by two unions, and those unions are the only part of the assembly that gets taken apart regularly. Every cleaning cycles the O-rings, and chlorinated water at pool temperature slowly hardens them. Eventually one takes a set, stops sealing, and starts a slow drip at the pad that never quite goes away.

What does the kit include?

The barrel nuts and unions with their O-rings, ordered as PZ40-UNIONSET.

Does the salt cell come with it?

No. This is the union hardware only. The E-Series cell and the power supply control box are separate items.

My union is dripping. Is this the fix?

Usually. On a union joint the seal is what fails first, and a hardened or cut O-ring will weep no matter how tight the nut goes. If the union body itself is cracked, this kit replaces that too.
