Deep bag, not a flat skimmer
A flat skimmer net only works at the surface. The deep bag on this net holds a real load of leaves before it has to be dumped, and it will scoop debris off the pool floor as well, which is what you want after a storm or during leaf drop.
What you need with it
The pole is separate. This net is built for the standard pole taper used throughout the trade, so it should go straight onto a pole you already have. Note that the same tool is sold under two names, leaf net and leaf rake, and this one is listed under both.
