What the eyeball does
The return inlet is where filtered water comes back to the pool, and the eyeball is what aims it. Point it correctly and the whole pool turns over; leave it stuck or broken and you get dead corners, poor chemical distribution and debris that settles where the water never reaches. The ball swivels in the face plate so the jet can be set wherever the pool needs it.
The four nozzles
Each nozzle has a different outlet size. A smaller opening throws harder and further, a larger one moves more volume with less velocity. Having all four in the kit means the return can be tuned to the pool rather than left as it came.
