Product details

The Jandy R0724600 is the 3 inch air intake adapter for JXi pool heaters. It is the genuine Jandy part, and it is carried both as an air intake adapter and as an air intake adapter kit under the same number.

What it is for

A JXi has to draw combustion air from somewhere. Where that air is piped to the heater rather than taken from the space around it, the intake connection needs an adapter to meet 3 inch pipe. This is that fitting.

Intake, not exhaust

Read the part name carefully before ordering. This is the intake side. Jandy also lists a 4 inch JXi vent adapter, which serves the exhaust and is a different part number, and the two are easy to mix up when you are ordering from a photograph.

Use the factory part

Combustion air handling is not a place for an improvised joint. The Jandy adapter is dimensioned for the heater it goes on, so the connection ends up where the manufacturer intended it.
