Product details

The Jandy R0456301 is the replacement transformer for JXi gas heaters. It is the genuine Jandy component, listed for the JXi200N, JXi200P, JXi260N, JXi260P, JXi400N and JXi400P.

What it does

The transformer takes incoming line voltage down to the low voltage the heater control side runs on. The control board, the display and the safety circuit all depend on it, so when the transformer opens up, the heater goes completely quiet rather than throwing a fault code.

Before you order

Confirm power is actually reaching the heater and check the fusing first. If line voltage is present and the low voltage side is dead, the transformer is the next thing to test. It is a straight swap onto the original mounting and wiring.

Which JXi heaters does this fit?
Jandy lists it for the JXi200N, JXi200P, JXi260N, JXi260P, JXi400N and JXi400P, so all three sizes in both the natural gas and propane builds.
What does the transformer do?
It steps line voltage down to the low voltage the heater control side needs. Without it the control board and display have nothing to run on.
My JXi is completely dead. Is this the part?
It is a good place to look. A heater with no display at all, after you have confirmed power is reaching it, points at the transformer or its fusing.
