The Hayward HLX-TRNSFMR is the genuine transformer for the OmniLogic pool automation system. It is the factory part, ordered by part number.

What a transformer does here

An automation panel runs its electronics on low voltage stepped down from the incoming supply. The transformer is what does that stepping down. When it fails, nothing downstream of it has power, so the whole system reads as dead even though the boards and the display are fine.

Before you order

Confirm the fault with a meter rather than by symptom alone, and remember that an automation enclosure carries line voltage. If working inside a powered panel is not something you do, have a pool professional or an electrician handle the replacement.

It is a reasonable first thing to check. A transformer that has failed leaves the control electronics with no power at all, which reads as a dead system. Confirm with a meter before ordering.
