What the personality board is

IntelliTouch is a family of control systems built on shared hardware. The personality board is the piece that gives one panel its identity, in this case the i5+3, and sets how many circuits the system runs and how the panel behaves. Without a working personality board the rest of the panel has nothing to configure itself against, so pumps, heaters and lights stop responding even though the power and the relays are fine.

IntelliTouch pairs with the ScreenLogic mobile app, which Pentair lists as working with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. That gives you the same schedules, temperatures and lighting effects from a phone or tablet that you would set at the panel.
