Why fine mesh matters
Fine debris is the material that does the damage. Vacuum a layer of silt or sand through the skimmer and it lands in the filter, loading a cartridge or packing sand and DE media well ahead of schedule. A fine mesh bag on the vacuum head captures it at the pool floor so it never reaches the equipment pad.
Getting the life out of it
The bag is large capacity, so it will take a full clean up rather than needing emptying every few minutes. Fine mesh does load faster than coarse, so rinse the bag out thoroughly and let it dry before it goes into storage. Grit left in the weave stiffens the fabric and cuts the working life of the bag.
