The Jandy Pro Series 7786 is a temperature sensor on a 50 foot cord, and it is the same part whether you need an air, a water or a solar reading. What changes is where you put it.
Where it goes
Installed into the plumbing it reports pool water temperature. Mounted out of direct sunlight and away from power centers it reports air temperature. For solar heating it is installed in the solar collector, where it gives the control system the reading it uses to decide whether the collector is worth circulating water through.
What is in the box
Sensor, hose clamp and o-ring. The 50 foot cord gives enough length for a roof run or an air sensor mounted well clear of the equipment pad. It is used with any Zodiac or Polaris control system.
