Product details

The Jandy Pro Series 7786 is a temperature sensor on a 50 foot cord, and it is the same part whether you need an air, a water or a solar reading. What changes is where you put it.

Where it goes

Installed into the plumbing it reports pool water temperature. Mounted out of direct sunlight and away from power centers it reports air temperature. For solar heating it is installed in the solar collector, where it gives the control system the reading it uses to decide whether the collector is worth circulating water through.

What is in the box

Sensor, hose clamp and o-ring. The 50 foot cord gives enough length for a roof run or an air sensor mounted well clear of the equipment pad. It is used with any Zodiac or Polaris control system.

Is this an air sensor, a water sensor or a solar sensor?
All three. The job it does depends on where you mount it. In the plumbing it reads water, in the solar collector it reads solar, and mounted in free air it reads air temperature.
Where should the air sensor go?
Out of direct sunlight and away from power centers. Sun on the sensor or heat from nearby equipment will skew the reading.
What comes with it?
The sensor itself, a hose clamp and an o-ring.
Which controls does it work with?
Any Zodiac or Polaris control system.
