Product details

The Jandy R0589700 is the thermal regulator valve for the JXi pool and spa heaters in the 200, 260 and 400 sizes. It is the genuine Jandy part, also listed under the Zodiac name with the same number.

What it does

The thermal regulator lives in the heater header and governs how much water flows through the heat exchanger. By holding flow back until the exchanger is warm it lets the heater reach its working temperature quickly and keeps it there, which is what protects the exchanger over the long run.
