Product details
The Zodiac W70329 is the blue finned disc for the Baracuda G3 suction pool cleaner. It is the genuine OEM part.
What the disc does
A Baracuda has no wheels and no motor. It moves because the diaphragm pulses and the disc controls how the cleaner sits against the surface. The fins let water pass in a controlled way, which is what gives the cleaner enough hold to climb a wall while still gliding across the floor rather than locking down.
Why it wears out
The disc is in constant contact with the pool surface, so it is a consumable. The fins round off and the outer edge thins, and once that happens the cleaner loses its grip. Owners usually notice it as a cleaner that has stopped climbing, parks in one corner, or crawls without covering ground. Plaster and pebble finishes wear discs far faster than smooth surfaces, so on a rough pool it is worth keeping a spare on the shelf.
