The Zodiac R0567000 is the cover latch for the Baracuda MX6 suction side pool cleaner. It is the genuine factory part, the same latch fitted when the cleaner was built.
What it does
The latch is what keeps the MX6 cover closed while the cleaner works. It takes repeated opening and closing every time the cleaner is serviced, and it is one of the first small plastic parts on the unit to give up. Once it breaks, the cover no longer sits tight, and a cleaner with a loose cover does not behave the way it should in the pool.
Replacing it
