Product details

The Zodiac R0533300 is the hose adapter for the Baracuda MX8 pool cleaner leaf catcher. It is the fitting that joins the cleaner hose to the leaf canister.

Why the joint matters

An MX8 runs on suction, and suction is only as good as the weakest joint in the hose run. If the adapter is cracked, split at the collar, or no longer grips the hose end tightly, it pulls air in rather than water. The cleaner then slows, stops climbing walls, or sits in one spot.

What does this adapter connect?
It joins the cleaner hose to the leaf catcher on the Baracuda MX8.
Which cleaner is it for?
The Baracuda MX8. Zodiac lists the adapter as part R0533300.
Why would I need a new one?
Adapters get cracked, stretched or split at the hose end. Once the joint is not airtight it draws air, and the MX8 loses the suction it needs to climb and drive.
Does it include the leaf catcher?
No. This is the hose adapter alone. The leaf canister is a separate Zodiac part.
