The Zodiac W81600 is the diaphragm retaining ring used across the Baracuda suction side cleaner range. It is the genuine Zodiac replacement, the same ring fitted at the factory.
What it does
A Baracuda moves by flexing a diaphragm in the cleaner head. The retaining ring clamps that diaphragm in position. When the ring cracks, stretches or loses its grip, the diaphragm shifts, the pulse that drives the cleaner weakens, and the unit slows or stalls in one corner of the pool.
Fitting and coverage
Zodiac lists this ring for the G2, G3 and G4, the Alpha, Alpha 2, Alpha 3 and Alpha 3 Plus, the Beta, Ranger, Zoom, Pacer, Baracuda 1500 and Wahoo. It is sold on its own, so if the diaphragm itself is torn or hardened, order that part alongside it and change both while the head is open.
