Product details
CMP part 25376-900-500 is the drain plug for Powerclean chlorinators. It threads into the drain port on the feeder body and is what keeps the chlorinator holding water during normal operation.
The plug is pulled deliberately whenever the feeder has to be emptied, most often at closing or before a service on the lid or the internals. That is exactly why it goes missing: it comes out, gets set on the pad, and does not make it back on. A cracked plug or a damaged thread is the other common reason for a replacement.
Rinse the feeder out before working on it. Tab residue inside a chlorinator body is aggressive on skin and on tools, and it is worth a few minutes with a hose before the plug comes out.
