Product details

The Pentair R172253Z is the 5/8 in. outside diameter, 18 in. long feeder tube for the Rainbow Model 320 automatic chlorine and bromine feeder. It is the genuine Pentair replacement.

What it does

Inside the feeder, this tube carries water from the bottom of the chlorinator up to the top, where it is released down over the stack of tablets. That flow path is what dissolves the tablets at a controlled rate. If the tube is cracked or missing, water short circuits the tablet stack and the feeder stops dosing properly.

Getting the right one

Pentair lists both a short and a long 5/8 in. tube for these feeders. This is the 18 in. version. Pull the old tube and measure it before ordering, since the two are otherwise identical in appearance.
