Product details

The Pentair 370486Z is the drive tube for the Kreepy Krauly 2013 suction pool cleaner. It is the genuine Pentair replacement part.

What the drive tube does

A suction cleaner has no motor of its own. It turns the pull from the pump into motion, and the drive tube is part of that mechanism. Everything about how the cleaner crawls, whether it holds a pattern and whether it climbs at all, depends on those internals still being in shape.

The symptoms

Cleaners that still suck hard but move slowly, stall in one spot or wander aimlessly are usually worn inside rather than starved of flow. When you have already checked the hose for leaks and the pump for a clogged basket, the drive components are where to look next.

Check the year

Kreepy Krauly parts are not shared across every generation. This tube is listed for the 2013 model, so identify your cleaner before ordering.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Which cleaner does this fit?
The Pentair Kreepy Krauly 2013. Kreepy Krauly parts changed between model years, so check which version you have before ordering.
Is it the genuine Pentair part?
Yes. It is Pentair part number 370486Z.
My cleaner has slowed right down, is this the cause?
A tired drive tube is one of the usual suspects when a suction cleaner still holds suction but crawls or stalls. Check the tube for wear and splits alongside the flapper and seal.
Will it fit an older Kreepy Krauly?
This is listed for the 2013 model. Earlier Kreepy Krauly generations use their own parts, so match the part to your cleaner year.
