Why the body wears out
The lower body spends its life dragged across plaster, pebble and tile. Over years it thins, and a knock against a step or a drain cover can crack it outright. Once the housing is split the cleaner loses the suction path it depends on, so it slows down, climbs badly, or stops picking up. New wear parts will not fix that, because the leak is in the shell itself.
