The Zodiac FRV100 is the genuine flow regulator valve for the MX6 and MX8 suction side pool cleaners.

Why flow needs regulating

A suction cleaner is driven by the pump, and pumps vary. Give an MX more flow than it was designed for and it moves too fast, skips coverage and wears its drive components early. The regulator sits in the suction line and automatically bleeds off the surplus, holding the cleaner at the rate Zodiac built it around.

What does the flow regulator actually do?
