Product details

Zodiac R0526600 is the right body panel, panel B, for the Baracuda MX8 and MX8 Elite suction side pool cleaners. It is the genuine Zodiac part.

A and B

The MX8 body is made of two shells. Zodiac calls the left one A and the right one B, and they are not interchangeable. This is the B panel, so check which side of your cleaner is damaged before ordering. The A panel is a separate part number.

Why they fail

Body panels take the impacts. A cleaner that has been wedged under a step, pulled hard on its hose, or simply spent years in chlorinated water and sun will crack at a corner or lose the clips that hold the shell together. Once a panel is loose, debris finds its way into the tracks and the turbine, and the cleaner starts to lose pattern and suction.

Fitting

The panel replaces the old one directly, with the internals staying as they are. It is worth checking the tracks and the seal path while the cleaner is open.
