The EC40 is the universal screw used across the Pentair Kreepy Krauly and Letro Legend cleaner range. It is the genuine replacement fastener, made of metal.

Where it is used

It appears on the Legend 3 wheel and Legend 4 wheel LL105 diagrams, the Legend Platinum LL105PM, the Legend II LX2000 and the Legend II LX5000G, and the Legend LL505G. It is called universal because the same screw serves several positions across those models rather than being tied to one.

Why the right screw matters

Cleaner bodies are plastic, and the screws thread into molded bosses. A substitute with the wrong thread or head profile chews those bosses out, and once a boss is stripped the fix is a whole housing rather than a fastener. If one screw has vibrated out, look over the others of the same age while you have the cleaner on the deck.
