The Pentair JV21 is the replacement tire for the Letro Jet Vac cleaner, supplied as a two pack. The tires are molded rubber, the same material as the originals.
Why tires matter
The cleaner covers the pool by driving a set pattern, and it can only hold that pattern while the tires grip. As the tread wears smooth the cleaner starts to slip, spin in place on the flat, or slide back down the slope instead of climbing it. Owners often read that as a pressure or a jet problem when the tires are the actual cause.
Fitting
Change them in pairs. A new tire running against a worn one gives the two sides different traction, which pulls the cleaner off course as surely as two worn tires do. That is why they are sold two to a pack.
