Product details

The Hayward HLWALLMOUNT is the wired wall-mount touchscreen remote for OmniLogic pool automation, and Hayward also lists it for OmniPL and OmniHub systems. It puts the controller on a wall inside the house or in a protected outdoor spot, wired to the OmniLogic main board with four conductor cable.

What it does

The terminal monitors and controls the pool from the wall. It provides the same functions as the OmniLogic local terminal, with two limits: Service Mode is only on the local terminal, and configuration options are limited, with full access to all settings kept at the local terminal.

Installing it

The cable lands on the high speed RS-485 screw terminals, matching 1 to 1, 2 to 2 and so on, with terminal 5 unused on the OmniLogic. Hayward calls for 4 conductor, 20 to 24 AWG twisted pair, and recommends 22 AWG solid phone cable. The longest runs are 350 feet on 20 AWG, 285 feet on 22 AWG and 180 feet on 24 AWG. The OmniLogic must be fully powered down and the dead front removed to connect it, so this is a job for a qualified installer. On startup the OmniLogic discovers the terminal and configures itself.

Before you order

Hayward allows one HLWALLMOUNT per OmniLogic. The terminal firmware has to match the OmniLogic firmware, so update both to the latest version. The box contains the remote terminal only, so plan on your own mounting screws, anchors and cable.
