Product details

The Super-Pro 21047-000-000 is a 1-1/2 inch PVC union with slip (socket) fittings on both ends.

What it does

A union joins two lengths of PVC pipe with a pair of collar fittings and a union nut, letting the connection be taken apart at that point without cutting the pipe. This is useful just ahead of a pump, filter, or valve that may need to come out for service.

Fit and compatibility

Both ends are sized for 1-1/2 inch PVC pipe and are slip fit, meant to be solvent welded in place.

Before you order

Check that both sides of your pipe run are 1-1/2 inch before ordering, since this union is not sized for other pipe diameters. The union nut should be hand tightened, then snugged only enough to compress the seal, since overtightening the plastic collar can crack it.
