The Raypak P-R106A-AP-C, part number 014781, is a propane fired pool and spa heater with an analog thermostat. It is the 106A, the smallest heater in the Raypak line, and it is built for above ground pools and spas.
What being the small one means
The 106A is not a scaled down product. It carries the same construction standard as the larger Raypak heaters; it is simply matched to the water volume an above ground pool or a spa actually holds. On that kind of pool it does what a heater is supposed to do: opens the season earlier, closes it later, and has the water ready when you are. On a large in ground pool it is undersized and will run without ever catching up.
Connections and controls
Water comes in through a 2 in. SKT inlet with auto bypass. Power is a 120V NEMA cord, so it plugs in rather than needing a hard wired supply. Control is an analog thermostat. It can be installed indoors or outdoors and is rated for elevations from 0 to 4999 feet.

Is this natural gas or propane?
Propane. P-R106A-AP-C is the LP model. Raypak builds a natural gas version of the same heater under a different part number, and the two are not interchangeable without a conversion.
What size pool is it for?
It is Raypak smallest heater and is aimed at above ground pools and spas. On a large in ground pool it will run constantly and still struggle to hold temperature.
How is it rated for BTU?
