Product details

The Coates 12411ST is an 11kW electric spa heater from the ST Series, built for 240V single phase service at 46 amps. It is a straightforward heater for a spa that has electrical service available and no gas line.

Safe on low flow

A built-in pressure switch prevents the heater from firing when there is no water flow, and lets it run at any flow rate from 15 GPM up to 80 GPM. That protects the elements if a pump fails or a valve is left closed.

Stainless tank, incoloy elements

The stainless steel tank is shaped to direct the water flow over the incoloy heating elements, so heat transfers into the water efficiently rather than soaking into the housing.

Size

The ST model measures 17-1/2 in. long, 4 in. wide and 14 in. tall, small enough to fit on most equipment pads. A 5.5kW version in the same series is available for smaller spas.

240V single phase, and it draws 46 amps. Have an electrician size the breaker and wire for that load.
Will it run if the pump is off?
No. The built-in pressure switch only allows the heater to operate when water is flowing, between 15 and 80 GPM.

Stainless steel, shaped to route water over the incoloy heating elements.
