The Coates 20005061 is a threaded heating element rated 5.5 kW at 240 V, supplied with its gasket. It is the element only, for a Coates electric heater.

Matching the element

Elements are specified by power, voltage and mounting style, and none of the three is optional. This one is 5.5 kW at 240 V and threads into the heater body. Read the rating off the element you are removing, or off the heater data plate, before ordering, because a mismatch either will not fit or will not draw the current the heater expects.

When it needs replacing

An element that has burned out leaves the heater running its controls normally while making no heat, or tripping the breaker on the element circuit. The gasket that seals it goes in the same operation, which is why it is included here rather than sold separately.
