Product details

The Coates 12424CPH is a CPH Series electric pool and spa heater rated at 24kW on 240V single phase power, drawing 102 amps.

Digital thermostat

The 24kW and 30kW heaters in the CPH range carry a digital thermostat, which the 12kW through 18kW units do not. That gives closer control of pool water temperature than a dial, so the water lands where it was set rather than near it.

Electrical requirements

A 102 amp single phase load is a serious electrical install. The service, breaker and conductors all need to be sized for it, and that should be confirmed with a licensed electrician against the Coates installation guide before the heater is ordered.

The rest of the series

Beyond the thermostat and the output, this unit shares the features of the smaller CPH heaters, so a pool already running a Coates electric heater will find the platform familiar.
