The Coates 12424CPH is a CPH Series electric pool and spa heater rated at 24kW on 240V single phase power, drawing 102 amps.

Digital thermostat

The 24kW and 30kW heaters in the CPH range carry a digital thermostat, which the 12kW through 18kW units do not. That gives closer control of pool water temperature than a dial, so the water lands where it was set rather than near it.

Electrical requirements

A 102 amp single phase load is a serious electrical install. The service, breaker and conductors all need to be sized for it, and that should be confirmed with a licensed electrician against the Coates installation guide before the heater is ordered.
