Product details

The Raypak P-R266A-EP-X is a 266,000 BTU propane gas heater for residential and commercial pools and spas, fitted with a cupro-nickel heat exchanger and digital ignition. Raypak part number 014951.

Built for the bigger job

At 266K BTU it has the input to bring a larger pool or a pool and spa combination up to temperature and hold it there. The cupro-nickel exchanger is the heavier duty option over standard copper, and the digital intermittent ignition lights the burner on demand rather than relying on a standing pilot.

Before you order

This is the propane version, rated for installations from sea level to 2,000 ft. Natural gas sites need the natural gas model, and sites above 2,000 ft need the altitude version. The heater ships by freight; plan for a truck delivery and check the carton on arrival.

Is this natural gas or propane?
Propane. The EP in the model number marks the propane version. If your site has natural gas, you need the matching natural gas model instead.
What elevation is it rated for?
0 to 2,000 ft above sea level. Installations above 2,000 ft need the high altitude version of the heater.
Why cupro-nickel instead of copper?
Cupro-nickel is the heavier duty heat exchanger option. Choose it when you want extra durability over a standard copper exchanger.
