⌄The Raypak P-R206A-EP-X is a 200,000 BTU propane gas heater for residential and commercial pools and spas, built with a cupro-nickel heat exchanger and digital ignition. Raypak part number 014950. It is the standard altitude model, rated for installations from sea level to 2000 ft.
Cupro-nickel where it counts
The heat exchanger is the part of a gas heater that takes the punishment, and cupro-nickel holds up to salt water and high chlorine levels far better than copper. For a pool on a salt chlorinator, or one where chemistry drifts, it is the exchanger that keeps the heater in service. The header is polymer, and an automatic bypass valve is built in.
Digital ignition and control
An intermittent ignition device lights the burner only when there is a call for heat, so there is no standing pilot. The digital control panel sets the water temperature precisely and shows the heater status, which makes both daily use and troubleshooting straightforward.
