The Solaxx CLGD40 is the Digital D5 Resilience inline salt chlorine generator, rated for inground pools up to 40,000 gallons. It is supplied as a complete system, control and cell together.
How salt chlorination works
Salt dissolved in the pool passes through the cell, and the cell converts it to chlorine as the water flows by. The chlorine does its work and reverts to salt, so the same salt is used again and again. Instead of buying, carrying and storing chlorine, you top up salt occasionally and let the system produce sanitizer on a schedule.
Inline installation
The cell is plumbed into the return line, so it becomes part of the equipment run rather than an add on hanging at the pool. That keeps everything at the pad where it can be serviced.
Sizing
Match the system to the pool volume. This one is rated to 40,000 gallons for an inground pool. Running a generator at the top of its rating all season shortens cell life, so if your pool is close to that number, plan on the cell being a maintenance item.
