Product details

The Jandy R0552300 is the diverter kit for the 2-IN-1 backwash valve. It covers the Neverlube backwash valve models 8034, 8034J and BWVL-NVL.

What the diverter does

Inside a backwash valve, the diverter is the piece that turns to route flow either through the filter or out to waste. Everything else in the valve is a housing around it. When the diverter and its seals wear, water starts passing between the two paths, which shows up as a filter that never quite clears or as water trickling to waste while the system is filtering.

Rebuild rather than replace

A worn diverter does not mean a new valve. This kit puts the working part of the valve back to new while the plumbing stays untouched. The o-ring kit for the 2-IN-1 is a separate Jandy part and is worth doing at the same time, since the valve is already open.
