Product details

The Pentair 152130 is the 8.35 in. diameter clamp for the 2 in. multiport valve, in both top mount and side mount form, used on Tagelus TA100 and TA100D filters. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What the clamp does

The clamp is the band that pulls the valve down onto the tank and holds the joint closed against system pressure. The o-ring between them makes the actual seal, but it only works if the clamp is holding the two faces together properly.

When to replace it

If the valve seeps at the tank and a new o-ring has not fixed it, look at the clamp. A band that has corroded, cracked or spread open cannot hold the joint tight any more. Check the 8.35 in. diameter against the clamp on your filter before ordering, since Pentair uses different clamps across the valve range.

What is the diameter?

The Pentair 2 in. multiport valve in top mount and side mount form, and the Tagelus TA100 and TA100D filters.
My valve leaks where it meets the tank. Is the clamp the problem?
It can be. The o-ring makes the seal but the clamp is what holds the two halves together tightly enough for the o-ring to work. If the clamp has corroded or spread open, the joint will weep even with a new o-ring in place.
