Product details

Pentair PacFab 270199Z is the outlet diverter for the FullFloXF backwash valve. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What a diverter does

The FullFloXF sends water either through the filter or out to waste, depending on where the valve is set. The diverters are the moving seals inside the body that decide which path is open and which is closed. When they wear, the separation stops being clean, and flow leaks between the two paths.

The symptoms

Water trickling to waste while the valve sits in filter, or the returns still running while the valve is in backwash. Either one points at a diverter that is no longer sealing against the body.

Before you order

This is the outlet diverter. Pentair also makes an inlet diverter for the same valve under a different part number, so confirm which side is worn. With the valve apart it is worth renewing the o-rings at the same time.

The outlet. Pentair makes a separate inlet diverter for the same valve, so check which one you need before ordering.
Which valve does it fit?
The Pentair PacFab FullFloXF backwash valve.
What are the signs of a worn diverter?
Water passing to waste when the valve is in filter, or the return still flowing while the valve is set to backwash. Both mean the diverter is no longer sealing.
Do I need to replace the o-rings at the same time?
It is good practice. The FullFloXF uses o-rings alongside the diverters, and once the valve is apart they are cheap to renew.
