The Waterway 600-9500 is the replacement multiport valve diverter, supplied with its gasket, for select Waterway backwash valves. It is the internal that does the actual work of switching the valve.
Why the diverter wears out
Every time the handle moves, the diverter drags across the port seats and its gasket takes the load of sealing them. After enough seasons the sealing face flattens or nicks, and water starts crossing between ports.
