Product details

The Nidec ASB842A is a single speed square flange pool and spa pump motor on a 56Y frame, finished in almond, rated 1.5 HP with a 2.25 total horsepower figure.

What it replaces

It is offered as a direct replacement for the energy efficient Pentair WhisperFlo models 011514 WFE-6 and 011519 WFE-28, in both the full rated and up rated versions. If your WhisperFlo motor has failed and the wet end is sound, this puts the pump back in service without changing the plumbing.

Construction

The motor uses an open dripproof enclosure and the standard 56Y square flange format, so it bolts to the seal plate the same way the original did.

Check the voltage first

The two descriptions on file do not agree on supply voltage. One lists 208/230V and the other lists 115/208-230V. Read the nameplate on the motor coming off the pump and match it before ordering, rather than assuming from the pump model.
