Pentair 473155 is the replacement transformer for the MiniMax Plus, the ThermaFlo and the ThermaFlo Titanium heat pump.
What it does
The transformer takes the incoming supply voltage and steps it down to the low voltage the control board, the display and the safety circuits run on. Everything the heater does for itself depends on it. When the transformer fails, the unit typically looks completely dead even though the breaker is on and voltage is present at the disconnect.
Fitting
It is a direct replacement that mounts in the same position as the original. The work happens inside a live panel, so kill the power at the breaker first, and if you are not confident working with line voltage, hand it to a qualified service technician.
