The Pentair 473381 is a two inch PVC union for heat pump plumbing. It is the genuine Pentair part, molded in PVC so it stands up to pool water and to years of sitting outside at the equipment pad.

What a union buys you

A union is a threaded joint that can be broken by hand. Without one, pulling a heat pump for service means cutting the pipe and gluing in a new section afterwards. With one, you back off the nut, lift the unit out, and put it back the same afternoon.
