Product details

The Pentair 522491 is the internal sealing cannister lid with QuikLock for the Pentair LeafVac. It is the genuine replacement lid.

Why the lid matters

A leaf canister only works while it holds vacuum. The seal on this lid sits internally, and when it flattens, cracks or the latch stops pulling the lid down tight, air leaks in and the cleaner loses suction long before the bag is full. Owners often chase the pump or the hose when the lid is the leak.

What you get

The lid on its own, with the QuikLock closure that lets you open and empty the canister quickly. While the lid is off, wipe the canister rim and check it for grit and scoring, because a damaged sealing surface will leak past even a new lid.

Does this include the canister?
No. It is the lid alone, part number 522491. The canister body is a separate item.
What does internal sealing mean?
The sealing surface is inside the lid rather than on the outer rim. It is the detail that lets the canister hold vacuum while it is in line with the cleaner.
Why is my LeafVac losing suction?
Air getting past the lid is a common cause. If the seal is flattened, cracked or the lid no longer latches down tight, the canister leaks and the cleaner loses pull.
What is QuikLock?
It is the fast latching closure on the lid, so the canister can be opened and emptied without unscrewing anything.
